I’m a senior at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. In addition to journalism, I’m studying Spanish and food studies. You can also find me at UO’s Robert D. Clark Honors College, where I’m producing a thesis on food journalism and audience engagement.

I’ve been drawn to journalism for years, starting with my high school’s various publications, where I wrote for and edited the school paper and helped found a podcast club. Since then, I’ve contributed to the I’m of the belief that everyone has a story to tell, and I’m interested in helping people share their stories with the world around them.

Currently, I’m an intern for the Charles Snowden Excellence in Journalism program at the Salem Reporter. I also contribute to Eugene Weekly through the Catalyst Journalism Project.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably cooking or eating.

Sometimes I’m still writing about it!

Hi, I’m Mirandah!
